Aleena Banerji, MD, is Assistant Professor of the Department of Medicine at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. She is also Assistant Training Program Director and Director of the Drug Allergy Center at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
 
Dr. Banerji received her medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois and her internal medicine training at the University Hospitals of Cleveland/Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She is board certified in internal medicine and a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine and American Board of Allergy & Immunology. After completing her residency at Northwestern University Medical School, she completed a fellowship in allergy/immunology at Massachusetts General Hospital.
 
Dr. Banerji is a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, and the Massachusetts Asthma and Allergy Society.
 
Dr. Banerji's major clinical interests include drug allergy, asthma, immunodeficiency, rhinosinusitis, cough, anaphylaxis, angioedema, eosinophilic disorders, food sensitivity, nasal polyposis, dermatitis, urticaria, and immunology.

Michael S. Blaiss, MD, is a pediatric and adult allergist widely recognized as an international thought leader in the field of allergy and asthma management. He is a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics and Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center and has a private practice at Allergy and Asthma Care in Memphis, Tennessee.

Dr. Blaiss' clinical focus is on allergies and allergic disorders, especially dealing with quality of life, outcomes, and economic issues. He has been named to the Best Doctors in America list from 1999-2010. In 2009, he was named by USA Today as one of the most influential physicians in asthma care.
 
Dr. Blaiss has published more than 100 scientific articles and presented at more than 400 meetings and seminars throughout the world on such topics as allergic rhinitis, asthma, socioeconomic subjects in allergy and asthma, and issues in compliance and adherence.

He has written for several peer-reviewed journals, including Journal of Pediatrics, Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, Journal of the American Medical Association, as well as several allergy textbooks. He has co-edited Atlas of Allergic Diseases. In addition, he has been a member of the editorial boards for the Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, World Allergy Organization Journal, Journal of Asthma, Allergy and Asthma Proceedings, and American Journal of Rhinology and Allergy. Dr. Blaiss is presently Contributing Editor for the Asthma Resource Center for Epocrates.com.

Dr. Blaiss is on the Board of Directors of the World Allergy Organization. He is a past president of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI) and has served on the Board of Directors for the American Board of Allergy & Immunology. He has been President of the Louisiana State Allergy Society and the Tennessee Society of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. Dr. Blaiss is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and the ACAAI.

William R. Lumry, MD, is a board-certified internist and allergist. He is in private practice in Dallas, Texas treating adults and children with allergic diseases and asthma. He is a Clinical Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and teaches at Parkland Memorial and Presbyterian Hospitals in Dallas.
 
Dr. Lumry received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, Texas, completed his internal medicine training at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and received his clinical and research fellowship in allergy and immunology from Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, California.
 
Dr. Lumry is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, and American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology.
 
He is the medical director of Allergy and Asthma Research Association Research Center and participates actively in clinical research projects involving new treatments for asthma, allergic diseases, and HAE. He has lectured to local, national, and international conferences and published many articles and abstracts in prominent medical journals on these subjects.
1. Recognize the most common symptoms of HAE to minimize delays in diagnosis in children and adolescents
2. Describe appropriate therapies for both on-demand and prophylactic treatment of children and adolescents with HAE
3. Explain strategies for observation, education, referral, and follow-up of patients receiving on-demand or prophylactic therapy for HAE
